Towns - Caves

Arudy. Small town at the foot of the Ossau valley
25 km, Grottes de Betharram. A system of caves so big that you have to take a small train for part of the way!
Bagnères-de-Bigorre.
Grottes de Medous.
Hasparren. Busy indutrial town in the Pays Basque
Grottes Prehistoriques Isturitz et Oxocelhaya, 7 km. These caves were inhabited between 80,000 and 15,000 BC, and some ancient drawings can be seen. Open March 15 - November 15, closed Monday and Tuesday mornings in low season.
Sare.
