Towns - Botanical gardens

Juan les Pins. Lively resort on the Mediterranean coast.
Parc Exflora. Exhibitions of differing styles of gardening from Mediterranean to Islamic.
Menton. Charming sea-side between Monaco and Italy.
The gardens of Menton. The climate has enabled the development of some stunning tropical gardens, many of which can be visited, particularly in summer. The Maison du Patrimoine (5 r. Ciapetta) organises visits.
Val Rameh garden: created by an English horticulturalist in 1930, it was taken over in 1960 by the Paris Natural History Museum. Exotic plants from around the world and a wonderful vista of the old town.
Romanciers Garden: around the Spanish tile-decorated villa Fontana Rosa lies a colourful Spanish-style garden created by the novelist Vincenti Blasco Ibanes in 1921.
Bioves Garden: citrus and palm trees, with fountains and statues studded around, with a splendid view of the mountains.
Marina Serena Garden: this garden is supposedly the mildest in France it is never less than 5C.
Serre de la Madone: created on a slope by Lawrence Johnston in the Twenties, it has massive trees including one unidentified species.
